2026-02-26

Micas Networks Inc. (Headquarters: California, USA; CEO: Andrew Qu), a provider of high-performance network solutions for next-generation data centers and AI infrastructure, has signed its first distributor agreement in Japan with SB C&S Corp ,a SoftBank Group company(hereinafter “SB C&S”) to accelerate the delivery of its products in the Japanese market.
Through this partnership, Micas Networks will deliver high-performance, highly flexible open network switches to the Japanese market by leveraging SB C&S’s extensive domestic sales network of approximately 15,000 companies.

As enterprises increasingly adopt AI, the requirements for data centers and enterprise networks are becoming more sophisticated. In particular, high processing performance, scalability, and operational flexibility are gaining importance. Open network design switches are increasingly gaining attention in this context.

Micas Networks’ switches are developed for cloud, AI, and data center applications, offering both high performance and flexibility. Supporting open network architectures, they can be freely customized to suit operational environments and specific needs. The switches support open network architectures, allowing customers to customize them based on their operational environments and specific requirements. Equipped with the latest chips, the switches provide high-speed connectivity of 800G (800Gbps) and 1.6T (1.6Tbps). Designed with future scalability in mind, they ensure stable support for large-scale data processing and AI workloads. By adopting Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) technology*, they achieve faster communication and lower power consumption compared to conventional solutions. These next-generation network switches deliver high performance and cost efficiency, meeting the demands of modern network infrastructure.
Micas Networks products will be distributed through SB C&S’s extensive sales network, which spans approximately 15,000 companies nationwide.
*Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) is a next-generation network architecture that integrates switch chips and optical modules within the same package, enabling both high-speed communication and reduced power consumption.

[Key Features]
l Flexible Network Architecture with Open Design
The switches support a wide range of operating systems, from open-source OS (SONiC) to commercial OS, enabling vendor-agnostic customization. This allows users to flexibly select and build optimal solutions tailored to their operational policies and technical strategies.

l High Performance and Energy Efficiency with a Forward-Looking Technology Roadmap
Equipped with the latest chipsets, the product lineup includes high-density models supporting up to 51.2Tbps total throughput and 800G (800Gbps) ports. The adoption of Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) technology enables high-speed communication and low power consumption, ideal for AI and large-scale data processing. Furthermore, with the continuous introduction of advanced technologies such as CPO switches featuring next-generation 102.4Tbps chips, the solutions offer scalability and investment value to support the evolution of future high-performance workloads.

l Comprehensive Cloud-Scale Solutions
Beyond switch hardware, Micas Networks provides end-to-end support from design and deployment to operations. The solutions include features that support automation and expansion of large-scale networks, offering comprehensive assistance in building cloud and data center infrastructure.
